Training Programmes

There are a number of workshops and programmes available.

Introductory One Day Workshops:

This in an introduction or 'taster' to the ideas of Choice Theory & Reality Therapy. It is split into 2 parts - the morning is used to look at the basics of Glasser's Choice Theory, and the afternoon is an overview of the Reality Therapy procedures that lead to change.

Basic Intensive Workshop:

This 4-day introduction to Choice Theory and Reality Therapy (the counselling/coaching application of Choice Theory) provides an understanding of Choice Theory and the opportunity to learn and practice some of the techniques associated with Reality Therapy and approaches to people management based on Choice Theory. This is a 'stand alone' workshop, but is also the prerequisite for the 5 stage Choice Theory & Reality Therapy Certification (CTRTC) programme (see link at the top of the page for full details) and perhaps, thereafter, opt to become a counselling or coaching practitioner.

This Faculty Training is for individuals who have already completed the CTRTC programme.

Post CTRTC Programmes (European Institute for Reality Therapy):

In addition, there is an opportunity to progress onto the post CTRT awards offered by the European Institute for Reality Therapy - Reality Therapy Counselling Certificate (RTC) and Reality Therapy Psychotherapist (RTP). This accredited training is for professionals who have completed the 5-stage CTRTC Certification programme and who wish to train as Psychotherapists, using Reality Therapy.
